    Kara was born on Earth on June 10, 2355 to Miriam and Torin Rohana. They both were working on Earth as scientists for a project that was for Betazed. After the birth of her younger brother and sister, their parents moved them back to Betazed for school. However, they soon left the kids in the care of grandparents to keep up with their work. Their work took them all over the place. Sometimes, Kara and her siblings would find themselves with their parents, but not much. When Kara turned 16, she applied to Starfleet Academy Medical school. She got in, and she was on her way to becoming a doctor.

    When she was still young, Kara was taught simple hand to hand combat by her grandfather. Over the years, she has not practiced much so she has lost some of her skills. Never being that great in the first place, it was not something she cared to keep up with. She feels that healing people is a much better use of her time than fighting them. Her mother has always had a special connection with her, and was pleased to hear that she was going to pursue medicine over combat.

    Being Betazoid has only helped out when trying to learn things, seeing as she can read minds. It has helped her in many ways to know just what people want from her. However, it does get her in trouble as well. So when she went into the Academy, she cut it off as part of her. She no longer tries to use it. There are times when she will read others emotions but tried hard to keep to her goal of not reading their minds. Her mother and father are both proud of her. Now that she has a husband in John that can't wait for her to have a child.

    Both of Kara’s siblings are at Starfleet. Her brother is an Engineer, and her sister was a scientist, like their parents. They were on different missions, and all had not seen each other for a while now. Unfortunately, Aayla was killed in the line of duty. Both of her parents are now retired and living on Betazed.

    Since joining the Lionheart, Kara has seen a great many things she really wished she hadn’t. From the IoM to a sickness that all most killed her home world. Now she has a nephew to take care of since her sister's death. With all that she also has been married to the love of her life, John Blackwell. She wouldn’t trade her life now for being safe and sound back on Earth. The only thing is right now John and the kids are back on Earth while she severs as the Chief Medical Officer on the Lionheart.
